The lookout to nothing River gorge but not much river The shadows
As we left the hotel this morning, we were all given chocolate frogs to eat. Yum - a good start. After a quick stop at the "Lookout to nothing" we started off at Hawks Head lookout in Kalbarri National Park, but there weren't many wildflowers. We did see the river gorge, which was quite interesting, as it's not very full at the moment!

At one point there were actually 3 vehicles in front of the coach - heavy traffic! We also saw three wuli wulis - these are little tornados, that suck up bits of dirt from beside the road. So if you're lucky you can see the funnel shape.

At Kalbarri we visited the coastal gorges which are pretty - they're made of layers of rock and there's a natural bridge (more like an arch really) too. We spent the night at Kalbarri motel and had the most enormous apartment - a big kitchen, a bathroom, a living room/bedroom, and another bedroom with 3 single beds in it! Went to the pub down the road as well. That's about it for today.
