|Alice at the Olde Alice, Alice Springs|| ||A thorny devil at the reptile centre|
|Got the 10am shuttle bus into Alice Springs for a wander around. Very odd seeing your name on everything! First stop was the Royal Flying Doctor Service which was very interesting - we saw a short film, visited the communications room, then wandered around the little museum where they'd even set up a pretend cabin so that you could see how all the equipment fits into the aeroplanes.|
Then we went across the road to the reptile centre which was ok. They had a 3m crocodile called Terry who'd been captured in Sydney Harbour! They also had lots of snakes and lizards and one lonely frog.
We had a wander around the town, then went to the pick up point (a hotel) for the shuttle bus and ran into our friend Gillian from our red centre tour who had been dropped off there yesterday. Got the shuttle back to the hotel, caught our transfer to the airport, then the plane to Melbourne, and met up with Trev - hooray!!!
Trev took us for some pasta in town, then we went back to his place and slept.
